Description

Crispy, golden-brown lollipops filled with a tasty mix of veggies and spices, served with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • Chopped onion
  • Chopped carrot
  • Chopped capsicum
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Red chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam masala
  • Salt
  • Chopped coriander
  • Boiled potatoes
  • Grated paneer
  • Bread slices
  • Bread crumbs
  • Maida (flour) + water + salt (for slurry)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the chopped onion, carrot, capsicum, ginger garlic paste, and all the spices until well combined.
  2. Add the boiled potatoes and grated paneer to the mixture and blend everything well together.
  3. Take a slice of bread, flatten it, and place a spoonful of the mixture in the center.
  4. Roll the bread around the filling to form a lollipop shape.
  5. Prepare a slurry with maida, water, and a pinch of salt to help the breadcrumbs stick.
  6. Dip the lollipops into the slurry, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the lollipops until they’re golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with your choice of chutney or sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, bake these popsicles instead of frying—just brush them lightly with oil and bake at 375°F until golden.
