Description

A delightful twist on traditional banana bread with snickerdoodle flavors, creating a warm and inviting treat perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Don’t overmix the batter for a tender loaf. Tent with foil if the top is browning too quickly.
