- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter and milk; stir until just combined.
- Fold in the cooked sausage, cheese, green onions, and black pepper.
- Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut into squares or rectangles and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Notes
For an extra special breakfast, serve with scrambled eggs or a fresh fruit salad. These rolls can be topped with sour cream or hot sauce.
