Description

Delicious and guilt-free churro bites made in the air fryer, perfect for family snacking or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
  • Cooking spray
  • Additional cinnamon and sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and melted coconut oil, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Shape the dough into small bites or sticks.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites inside.
  6. Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. In a small bowl, mix additional cinnamon and sugar.
  8. Once cooked, immediately toss the churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These churro bites can be served with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping. They also freeze well for up to three months.
