Ingredients

- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (melted)
- Cooking spray
- Additional cinnamon and sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add water and melted coconut oil, stirring until a dough forms.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the dough into small bites or sticks.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites inside.
- Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix additional cinnamon and sugar.
- Once cooked, immediately toss the churro bites in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
These churro bites can be served with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping. They also freeze well for up to three months.
