- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut flour
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup date caramel
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for melting chocolate)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the almond flour, coconut flour, maple syrup, coconut oil, and salt to form a dough.
- Press the dough into a lined baking dish to create a base.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Allow to cool, then spread the date caramel over the cookie base.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and refrigerate until set.
- Cut into bars and enjoy your healthier Twix!
Notes
For a creamier caramel layer, blend your date caramel with a splash of water until smooth. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
