These Gluten-Free Homemade Twix Bars are a delightful twist on the classic candy bar, featuring a crunchy base, luscious date caramel, and rich dark chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup date caramel
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for melting chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the almond flour, coconut flour, maple syrup, coconut oil, and salt to form a dough.
  3. Press the dough into a lined baking dish to create a base.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  5. Allow to cool, then spread the date caramel over the cookie base.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler.
  7. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and refrigerate until set.
  8. Cut into bars and enjoy your healthier Twix!

Notes

For a creamier caramel layer, blend your date caramel with a splash of water until smooth. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
