Description

A comforting dish that combines layers of tender noodles, savory ground beef, creamy cheeses, and rich marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 cups Marinara sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  5. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, basil, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  7. In a baking dish, start layering: spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, and then a layer of the ricotta mixture.
  8. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese and continue layering until all your ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
