- Lasagna noodles
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 15 oz Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 Egg
- 3 cups Marinara sauce
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Basil
- 1 tsp Oregano
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, basil, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- In a baking dish, start layering: spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, and then a layer of the ricotta mixture.
- Add a layer of mozzarella cheese and continue layering until all your ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
