A delightful chocolate cake with layers of creamy peanut butter frosting and milk chocolate ganache, perfect for any occasion.

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¾ cups sugar
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup peanut caramel
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Stir in the boiling water until the batter is well mixed. Be careful—it’ll be thin, but that’s just right!
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Beat the peanut butter and powdered sugar together in another bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the peanut butter mixture.
- Spread the peanut butter frosting on top of one layer, drizzle with peanut caramel, and place the second layer on top.
- Melt the milk chocolate chips in a bowl and pour over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Allow the ganache to set before slicing into the cake.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week. Can freeze slices for up to 3 months.
