- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2–3 green chilies, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Spring onions for garnishing
Instructions
- Combine cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, salt, all-purpose flour, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl to form a dough-like consistency.
- Heat oil in a pan for frying.
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into little balls.
- Carefully drop the balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, then place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In another pan, heat a little oil. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, and black pepper; mix well.
- Add the fried manchurian balls to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
- Garnish with spring onions before serving. Serve hot.
Notes
For an even crunchier texture, consider adding a tablespoon of rice flour to the mix. Ensure your oil is hot enough for frying.
