Description

A delightful dish combining crunchy vegetables in a crispy texture, perfect for family gatherings and potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 23 green chilies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Spring onions for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Combine cabbage, carrots, bell pepper, onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, salt, all-purpose flour, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl to form a dough-like consistency.
  2. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  3. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into little balls.
  4. Carefully drop the balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, then place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  5. In another pan, heat a little oil. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, and black pepper; mix well.
  6. Add the fried manchurian balls to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
  7. Garnish with spring onions before serving. Serve hot.

Notes

For an even crunchier texture, consider adding a tablespoon of rice flour to the mix. Ensure your oil is hot enough for frying.
