Description

These air fryer fried pickles are a delightful snack that offers a healthier take on the classic deep-fried version. Perfect for game day or as an appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dill pickles (or any type of pickles you prefer)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the pickles into thin slices or spears.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle slice first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they’re well coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray and place the breaded pickles in a single layer.
  6. Spray the tops of the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Cook for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an extra crunch, try adding a bit of parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
