Description

A delightful breakfast or brunch dish featuring crispy bread, gooey cheese, and rich eggs, prepared effortlessly in the air fryer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices of thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread and press a well into the center.
  3. Crack one egg into the well of each bread slice.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges or over the egg whites.
  5. Air fry for about 6–8 minutes, until the egg whites are set and the cheese is melting beautifully.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Experiment with different types of cheeses and add sautéed veggies or proteins to create variations.
